The pump
Two figures of one simulated heartbeat from a closed-loop circulation: four chambers, four valves, and the blood vessels between them, with the total blood volume conserved. By default the chambers are squeezed by the simulated electrical wave (EP → local tension → chamber elastance); an idealised elastance remains available for comparison.
